  • Yearbooks for 2018 are ON SALE nowPlease login to: to purchase yours. Search for Glenwood Springs High School and use your debit/credit card to purchase. Prices are $55 until February 28th, when they will be going up. Get it cheap, while you can! 
  • Yearbook Drawing Contest: The yearbook is looking for a drawing of our school mascot to be on the cover of the 2017-18 yearbook! Turn in your drawings to Gonzo in room 1402 by March 2nd and your drawing might be featured on the cover of the yearbook this year! The winner will receive a free yearbook!
  • The GSHS Choirs will be selling sing-o-grams for Valentines day. They are $5 for a song of your choice and a rose. Please see Ms. Gruber, or any choir member during lunch to order. 
  • If you're interested in interpreting for parent-teacher conferences please see Joseline in room 1405. This is a great experience, looks good on a resume and we also reward those who help! 
  • Alpine Bank Latino/Hispanic Scholarship and CMC Registration Meetin

Katia Curbelo-Del Valle, Youth Outreach and Admissions Coordinator for Colorado Mountain College, will be here on Thursday, February 8th in room 1008 (JROTC room) from 1:30-2:10pm. Katia will discuss the criteria for the Alpine Bank Hispanic/Latino Scholarship and also answer questions regarding the CMC application process. This meeting is for current seniors who plan to attend CMC.  

Alpine Bank Latino/Hispanic Scholarship

Amount: $2,200


1. Be of Latino/Hispanic descent.

2. Be a graduating senior of RE-1 School District (this includes GSHS)

3. Must attend CMC in the Fall 2018 semester.

4. Must be classified as in-district for CMC tuition purposes.

5. Be a resident of Eagle, Garfield, Pitkin, Routt, or Summit County.

6. Show financial need.

7. 2.5 GPA.


1. Log into CMC Basecamp portal.

2. Select "scholarships" link under "My CMC Apps".

3. Click on Alpine Bank Latino/Hispanic Scholarship.

  • The Aspen Words Foundation is sponsoring a valley-wide poetry project and Glenwood Springs High School is fortunate to be hosting guest poet Toluwanimi Obiwole during the week of February 5-9
    There will be an introductory workshop for interested students on Tuesday, February 6 during Directed Studies (9:30-10:00), and a writing and performance workshop during R3 (11:50-1:00) on Wednesday, February 7 in room 2506. Students may attend one or both of the workshops. On Thursday, February 8. selected GSHS students will perform at two assemblies alongside Ms Obiwole.
