Delayed Start Info • Snow Days 2024
Starting in January 2024, on days when road conditions are hazardous in the early morning but are forecasted to improve, Roaring Fork Schools will implement a two-hour delay to allow students and staff more time to reach school safely. We will still cancel school and call a full snow day when travel conditions are hazardous and not forecasted to improve. For more information, read the Inclement Weather: Delayed Start FAQs. There will NOT be delayed starts on Wednesdays.
Who We Are
Glenwood Springs High School serves 1,000 students--many of whom choice in from outside of the district. The GSHS mission is to change students' real-life chances. We are focused on academics, but we are committed to the development of the whole person.
GSHS prides itself on being a tremendous school with award-winning programs in athletics, the arts, and academics. GSHS aims to provide such a wide variety of courses and programs so that everyone will be able to find a niche. From mountain biking to robotics, from computer science to woodwork and from football to ice hockey -- it’s all on offer at GSHS. One of only three programs on the Western Slope, JROTC has as its primary purpose developing the character and skills of the cadets to help enrich their future and to prepare them to make a substantial contribution to society. We maintain a full program of fine arts, theatre, band, and choir.
